On the Other Side

So the Red Sea parted! It was a miracle to walk through the wind and the waves on dry land! I am now reading "the rest of the story". The next thing that I'm gleaning from the story of those lovely, complaining, faithless Children of Israel is that God took care of them. I mean, they were thirsty and the bitter water was sweetened by a twig. Hungry people were fed by frost-bread. Daily bread. They had this amazing leader, Moses, who listened and did what God asked him to, which of course translated into saving their necks over and over again.

Our condition is somewhat "desert-like". Joe has no job. We are praying for our daily bread,
and it's supplied. No bills are collecting dust. God is providing. We are trying to keep our minds on the day at hand and not freak out over next week. We are trying not to repeat history by complaining and/or taking things into our own hands. Just listening, asking Father to direct our path.

We live by the ocean. Do you know that waves don't stop rolling in, day and night? I am reminded of God's love each time I walk there, admiring the constancy of the ocean. He never stops washing his waves of love over us. We are trying to look at those waves more than the "wind and the waves" of reality. It's a peaceful place
